Public displays of bdsm

I was wondering what people's opinions were on such? Things like collars and leashes and the mall more obvious displays then subtle. What are some you are part of and why or why not.
Storytime! Heh
Nervous nightmares and delightful dreams

Re: Public displays of bdsm
It's odd you mention that.
I was watching the noon news as I was chatting it up on SF last week and a newscaster had the most elegant silver chain around her neck. The links were big enough you could assume she was owned. I seriously wondered.
And then again, on Friday, they were talking about fashion for fall... Apparently it's blue and green, with chunky chain...
So, to be fashionable this season... find someone to wrap you in chain and put a lock on it??? A girl can dream.

I think if you look closely you may see more then you think. Recently I was at a Faerie festival as I looked around I saw collars as well as slave bracelets and even a few slave registry Tats. I also ran into someone I knew who is in the lifestyle. This type of festival allows for a public display in a mainstream event. In a lot of different culturs as well as different lifestyles you will find BDSM, As mentioned by Stormbinder, bikers, also I have seen it in wiccan and pagan groups. So public display is there even if everyone may not be aware of it.

Personally I like seeing a gal in a locked collar.
You don't see it often. I like to ask them who has the key.
I once saw a locked ankle chain, but the gal wearing it looked kinda fierce so I just watched her go by. Biker events are fun for watching for bondage wear, but most of it is obviously costume stuff.
I don't display much in public myself, but I like to take a woman out with a collar on. Once in a while during BikeWeek or Biketoberfest in Daytona I will lock a black handcuff around my belt and let the other end dangle open. When asked about it I say I'm looking for a pretty wrist to put in it. Haven't had any takers yet, but I have seen some interest. Hey, it could happen. lol
Public display? I'm all for it.
