It is interesting to watch what is happening here concerning the general population. It seems that the majority are week-end warriors (Dominants/submissives). The men call themselves Masters with little Mastry of anything including themselves, wherea the women that call themselves slaves have the idea of sitting around doing nothing until they are used. Of course this is a gross generalization but it is applicable.

So the question is what is real? What is a real slave and what is a real dominant? I suppose that is all dependent upon your attitude and programming.

For myself, real for a Owner is to be totally responsible for those in your house, to not only use them sexually but to take them on a path that is appropriate for their needs and personality. For some this means dumbing down and for others it means challanging them with new challanges. It means that the Master of the house has long term goals for his house, it is something like a clan and he is the elder... with power comes responsibility. He has to be honest in all dealings within the house and interacting with those under him... if he isn't, then he will destroy the trust and all confidence those within his house has with him. He has to be knowledgable and continue learning... He does not have a revolving door on his house, it is not something he does just when it is easy or just on the week-ends. It is the attitude that makes a difference. The reason as to why he is a Owner/ Master in the first place as well as his overall philosophy of life. This is the key for longevity and building of the house.
