Since the construction of v-4 is still underway and since it is not yet finalized, I would like to propose a few changes in format if it isn't too late. As follows:
Masters and slaves should be registered as such. Photo verification should be supplied, but not published unless Slave Farm has consent to publish a Master's face along side his slave. The slave should be easily willing to say, yes, this person is her Master or Mistress. Each Master and slave must be able to post a minimum of six (6) photos that include more than simple bondage; there must be some level of pain involved to qualify as Master and slave. Clothespins on nipples or genitals would qualify but a simple pair of hand-cuffs would not. Gags alone would not, but gags plus needles would, and so forth. BDSM is not merely simple bondage and a qualified Master and slave should be easily able to produce more.
Now...only those registered as Masters/Mistresses/slaves/servants; should be allowed to rate BDSM photos. All members should be allowed to view any photo submission, but to allow fake Masters and slaves to grade or rate something that they cannot judge based upon actual experience; should not be allowed in a "contest" even if there is no prize to the winner.
Slave Farm should of course have the right to say that any six photos meet the criterion for posting but viewers who cannot prove that they possess first hand knowledge of BDSM, what would their grading curve be based upon? Even the appearance of suffering can not preclude nor qualify as does the experience of true suffering. Its like a man saying, "well pregnancy doesn't look all that painful!" How would he know, now or ever what it feels like to be pregnant? All members should be allowed access to all photos but cannot rate any photo less than a nine (9) because they could and already have graded certain photos lower than they should be for their own personal reasons. Artist are judged by other artist, not by the opinion of the general public. If I hate Picasso's work, the gallery will not take the painting down in value simply because I don't like it. Once appraised at a certain value by other galleries and other artist and collectors, the price may rise, but rarely can be brought down.
Make no mistake, BDSM is art, and nothing less. Let the Masters, Mistresses and slaves grade one another, let the by standers observe and even comment, but not rate what they cannot comprehend.
This seems to me a fair and equitable prospect which eliminates false and unfair ratings and at the same time, allows those who know how to judge this art, to judge it based upon performance and rationale as opposed to one group's ratings based on friendship and another based upon bigotry, racism or personal bias! Too many people at Slave Farm purport to be Masters or slaves and like someone said, "I can say I'm the Pope of Rome, but it doesn't mean that I am." I fully agree with that sentiment. Let's call things what they truly are and/or, are not!
