V4. user input, wanted or desired?

There seems to be a V4. on the way,  good idea, changes are part of life and necessary, but somehow there seems to be a lack of interest in user participation or input this time.

Maybe there was some V4. communication we overlooked but, as we understand this site/business/etc. it depends on people enjoying it.  User friendliness, data base consistency, FTP facilities, search engines, content -we are all aware about it-, etc., etc. (beg your pardon if missing your favourite issue) should be the main drivers for a new version!

So how comes there are NO general  questions, queries for feedback, suggestion boxes, etc.?

A version overhaul is usually a big issue for any established website, and this one IS established, it is a chance for improvements, glitch elimination, new ideas and of course, new mistakes.

But why leave out the users?

Actually the chat system was used quite a bit, it was pretty close to constant activity and a good place to meet people talk and even just fool around.

That was of course till 2 maybe 3 years ago when the "who's in chat" screen was added. This lead to a lot of people not bothering to log in, because the person they wanted to talk to wasn't there or someone they didn't want to talk to was there (insert name of personally hated asshole here).  The log in screen also, if I remember correctly, increased the number of "ghosts" (people who logged out but who's name stayed) to the point of absurdity.

Before that however it was quite lively and fun.

"3) a MUCH better and friendlier chat system... chat was a big issue going to this version and it died almost as fast as it went online." has anyone ever used the chat... ever?

V4 user input

This humble slut would like :

A. Be able to update age in personal profile...! honesty, etc. :)

B. Be able to open older pics in the archives.

C. Don't think the present system keeps a true tally of the number of posts one submits.

Just this slut's 2 cents worth.

humbly,

Version 4

I hope the webmaster reads this.

In earlier versions it was possible to call the next picture without going back to the thumbnail  menu. I hope this will be introduced again.

Well, the last time this place did an overhaul, we lost well over 1/2 of the users. Those that did manage to get back in lost all posts, files and film. Lets face it, this current version has some serious (and well discussed) issues. For me and starshine it took us over two weeks to get through the login to get here and I know others who simply gave up and went elsewhere.

1) A who is online would be nice....IMs maybe but an option to turn them off if you dont want them.

2) a better search engine

3) a MUCH better and friendlier chat system... chat was a big issue going to this version and it died almost as fast as it went online.

4) A way to delete mail (still have mail that wont delete)

5) A way to view sent, received and stored mail (actually a complete rework of the email system here)

6) A better profile system where you can list likes and dislikes as well perhaps some general tags to check or uncheck

7) Along with the profile, email, chat and forum, PLEASE something different to post/write with then what we currently have. Half the time when you save it doesnt, or simply saves partial posts, a way to copy and paste without getting some weird funky characters instead of what you pasted....

Well...to name a couple :)  (<-- that is a smile which doesnt show up)
