Bits and Pieces of kandye...Sweltering Heat
It’s been hot here. Sticky, steamy, humid, unforgiving, stifling hot. Heat indexes have been between 102 and 110 for days.The thunderheads swirl and fester and grow hourly until violent thunderstorms erupt; Lightening fierce and deadly strikes repeatedly through the air leaving it sizzling with electricity. Finally unable to hold it back any longer the sky unleashes heavy torrents of rain; a deluge of water pounding the earth; a tempest untamed. Florida is a beautiful, wonderful place to live, but July and August is brutal. Just walking outside is like a punch in the stomach. The humidity is so thick and unrelenting you’d swear it stills the breath straight from your mouth! If I haven’t made myself clear; IT”S FREAKIN HOT!! A variety of states do have high temperatures in the summer. They have the luxury though of cooling off at night; temporary reprieve from the heat. Here, however, if you walk outdoors at 2 in the morning it’s not 102, but the heat index is still a thick sticky 90 something. This calls for some serious skinny dipping. As you know from some of my earlier posts, Master has strange sleeping habits. He has a tendency to wake up mid morning and be full of energy. This is fine and great, except for the fact that he doesn’t want to be energetic alone. (Enter slave toy) So last night at around 2:40 a.m, I’m popped on the rear and given a rousing c’mon babe, let’s get in the pool. What Master wants, Master gets so literally minutes later we’re slinking into the pool. The water is warm; so is the air. It feels as if they are the same temperature. Oops sorry guys something’s come up and I have to run an errand. I’ll have to finish this tomorrow.

The one good thing about all the rain, is, look at all the nice clean cars from the free washes
