The best analogy that I can think of that comes the closest to this situation is not unlike me getting into the backseat of a car with a stranger as the driver. The moment I get in the doors automatically lock, the seatbelt gets fastened and I am to fully trust and respect that the driver is, one, an excellent driver. Two, that the driver is an experienced driver and very close to a pro as possible and three, that his qualifications meet and exceed and are visible through the twists and turns and roundabouts and rush hour traffic.
Now I have two choices. One, not get into that car in the first place, which is the smartest and safest thing I could do but also with deprivation and I find that a very sad thought. Or Two, listen to what the driver says and see what the driver does before I decide to get into the car. I like the second option because I get to put into practice my philosophy of Eyes Wide Open.
I'm not in this alone. I do not base any lifetime decision on anything less than Eyes Wide Open at the initial stages and I cannot make someone have the same philosophy nor will I attempt to conjole someone into doing it. The basics to begin are either there or it is not.
